Joe English 'Art and Propaganda'
100 years after the death of the painter Joe English, the exhibition ‘Joe English: from inspiring art to propaganda’ was developed. The exhibition shows the drawings that Joe English made during the First World War for the SKVH, the Secretariat of Catholic Flemish Students, and the Committee to Honour Heroes. It also shows how these subjects were used after his death by the Yser Pilgrimage Committee to promote the Yser Pilgrimages.
The exhibition can be seen in the chapel at the Yser Tower.
